Description
From the forest canopy of Papua New Guinea comes the Blyth’s hornbill, also known as the Papuan hornbill! Carvings of the bird are part of the ancient spirit world and the hornbill was carved as a deity to watch over remote, distant villages, far removed from civilization. Glazed in a charcoal washed, warm, wooden brown primary finish, the Ghost Bird Mug features intricate carved details on its wings, beak, and orange-tone talons, evoking both Papua New Guinea tribal art and native-carved totems. The tall, slender form makes it perfect for showcasing exotic cocktails, while the sculptural silhouette doubles as a striking piece of art to proudly display. This mug was design by Ken Ruzic for Tiki Farm.
