From Tom: “When re-reading “The Call of Cthulhu”, HP Lovecraft’s weird 1928 horror story, I was amused by the mention of the Steamboat “Alert”. That made this mash up parody a perfect fit in my feverish mind. My Painting imagines That it was Steamboat Willie that captained that fateful voyage in Lovecraft’s story.”
