Hatbox Ghost Two Mug Giveaway – 13 Nights of Tiki Frights

    Welcome to Day 8 of 13 Nights of Tiki Frights, a multi-day online event hosted by The Search for Tiki and sponsored by Scooter! Each night, from October 19 through October 31, we will be giving away a unique cocktail mug to one lucky winter and interviewing a talented artist known for their work within the Tiki community.

    Monday we’re giving away two Hatbox Ghost tiki mugs sold at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar and Trader Sam’s Grogo Grotto. Both mugs are first editions and one lucky winner will receive both mugs. After briefly appearing in Walt Disney’s The Haunted Mansion when it opened in 1969, the inspiration for this tiki mug, the Hatbox Ghost, was removed from the attraction suddenly and without notice. Explanations for his abrupt departure are plentiful and remain a mystery, however the Hatbox Ghost has finally returned for your ghoulish enjoyment. Forever immortalized in tiki form, the Hatbox Ghost hopes to materialize in your home…. that is unless you’d rather join him and the 999 haunts at the Haunted Mansion.

    In addition to announcing the winner of both Hatbox Ghost mugs, we are excited to have Oakwash join us on Instagram for a live discussion. Oakwash, founded in 2015, is a design studio headed by Omar Girona.
