Safari Camp Raider 2nd Edition Announced By Lost Temple Traders And It Features Colored Monkey

    The original Safari Camp Raider mug by Lost Temple Traders underwent several glaze tests, including one version that featured a full color monkey. The first edition of the mug went with a single color glaze, but a second edition was just announced. The mug was sculpted by Patrick Vassar and produced by Munktiki Imports.

    Safari Camp Raider depicts a mischievous monkey sitting on a crate and wearing a pith helmet as it raids some jungle supplies. The second edition is a smaller run of 175 mugs, which will be released for sale in three separate drops. The first batch of 50 mugs goes on sale today, February 17, 2021, at 10:50am PST and 1:50pm EST.

    The multicolored glaze on this mug can result in a finish that Lost Temple Trader’s describes as “goopy”. They have posted a close-up image to accurately reflect what the finished glaze looks like, which can be viewed on this page. 

    Lost Temple Traders, founded in 2019, sells both limited edition Tiki mugs and collectible pins. Their products feature iconic images from adventure stories, including traveling headhunters and zombified jungle skippers.
