Special Notes: “House of Tiki” was a store owned by Wes Johnson and his wife,” Pua” selling various tiki furnishings and ephemera, between 2008 and 2010. It opened in Newport Beach but relocated to 660 W. 17th St in Costa Mesa (on the Newport Beach border). The second location was a Quonset hut lined in lime green corrugated plastic other than the usual steel. Business was ultimately insufficient, and House of Tiki closed, but at its peak, Johnson also operated HOT (House Of Tiki) Lava Java nearby at 1860 Newport Blvd.
