Rongo – Disneyland – 50th Anniversary Edition

Depicted on this tiki mug is Rongo, God of Agriculture, who is featured in the pre-show of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. In addition to agriculture, Rongo is associated with fertility, rain and peace. During Makahiki, an approximately four month long season, it was forbidden to engage in war or unnecessary work in honor of Rongo.
