Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto Posts Hours For Official Reopening Today, July 19, At Polynesian Resort
After a long extended closure brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is officially set to reopen today starting at 3:00pm EDT. New signage was recently installed outside the entrance of the bar. All guests are welcome before 8:00pm, at which point the bar will become a 21+ venue.
It is unknown how many Tiki mugs will be available for purchase when the bar reopens, if any, but we created a helpful guide that shows what may be available. It can be downloaded for free here. The guide includes an exclusive interview with Trader Brandon, the Set Decorator and Writer for both Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar and Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. It also has cocktail recipes from the bar.

No, I don’t have any immediate plans to visit Disneyworld. But yes, I AM excited to see the Grog Grotto reopening, if only to hear the occasional news from that classic spot second-handedly.
