A New Orange Bird Tiki Mug Based On Popular Disney Icon Has Been Announced By Trader Nic

Orange you glad there is a new Tiki mug on the way from Trader Nic? He recently announced the new ceramic vessel on his Instagram page. The mug depicts Orange Bird, a mascot created by Disney for the Florida Citrus Commission in 1969. In exchange for the mascot, the Florida Citrus Commission sponsored the Enchanted Tiki Room attraction and the Sunshine Tree Terrace at the Magic Kingdom.
The character Orange Bird is a cartoon canary with an orange for a head. Its ad campaign was mostly dropped in the late 70s, but it returned to the Magic Kingdom in April 2012. Since then, Orange Bird’s popularity has grown and it has received the Disney merchandising treatment several times.
The new mug has been sculpted, but a glaze has not yet been revealed. The mug depicts Orange Bird atop a circular wooden base. The bird’s beak is open. Pricing and availability have not been announced, but we expect this bird to land sometime in 2021.
