In-house ceramicist Jerry Berta (“Bertiki”) at Max’s South Seas Hideaway designed a new mug for the bar’s release. The new mug is called Max’s Mo’orean Marquesan and it is inspired by a wood carving from the French Polynesian island of Mo’orea.

The mug was released at 9:00pm EST today, January 3rd, 2021, and is still available at the time of this writing. It is a limited and numbered edition of 60. Each mug retails for $125.00 plus shipping and features a glaze as authentic to the original carving as possible. Some extra details were added to the design to make the intricate lines pop on the sculpt.

Max’s South Seas Hideaway is a multi-level urban oasis featuring unique drinking experiences designed to transport patrons to a distant tropical paradise. Next door they also manufacture Tiki mugs by hand.

The mug can be purchased now through the official online store of Max’s South Seas Hideaway.
