In a new designer series of cocktail mugs, Mondo has once again teamed up with Doug P’Gosh. Their latest collaboration depicts a carnival ride through the mouth of hell, complete with the devil, flames, and a coaster track. It comes in several different glazes.
Ol’ Scratch is available in three colors, including a red/tan variant, a black/tan variant, and an orange variant that features a black wash. The mug stands just over 7″ tall and can hold 32 fluid ounces of cocktail. Tufan Sezer sculpted it.
Doug P’gosh is a professional artist and designer who studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, Illinois. He past clients include Disney, Warner Brothers, Coca-Cola and Paramount Pictures. Doug’s work frequently references tiki, hot rods and horror movie icons such as the Universal monsters.
Mondo is an American design company that is famous for its limited edition tiki mugs, collectibles and screen printed posters. It was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in Austin, Texas. Many of the tiki mugs Mondo has produced over the years feature prominent characters from some of the world’s biggest films and television series.
Regardless of glaze choice, Ol’ Scratch retails for $49 a piece and comes with a unique cocktail recipe created by Mattias Soberon with art designed by Gabe Chicoine. Mugs can be purchased on the official Mondo website.
