A new ceramic cocktail mug, named the Guardian Idol, has been announced by the Home Aloha Company. The mug depicts an ancient relic holding an actual light up “fish float” light. Guardian Idol has a weathered stone glaze, with green vine accents.
Jim Moore of Moore Monsters sculpted and manufactured the mug. The interior is a fern green and yellow wash color. Also included with the mug is a recipe card, a key, a Guardian Idol sticker, and a pouch.
The Home Aloha Co. was started by Matt Resse and Jim Bacchi in 2018. They recently released a pineapple themed stack-o-gold mug as well, and you can read our announcement of that mug here.
The Guardian Idol cocktail mug retails for $200 plus shipping and purchases will be limited to one per customer/IP address. After a schedule change, the first 50 mugs (of an initial edition of 100) go on sale Friday, March 26, at 3:00pm PST and 6:00pm EST. The remaining 50 mugs will be released at a later time. The official Home Aloha Co. website can be viewed here. What do you think of the new mug?
