Honu Swag Lamp Mug By Taboo Relics Is Inspired By Orchids Of Hawaii Lamps And Features Turtles
Introducing the Honu Swag Lamp, a new tiki mug inspired by the Orchids of Hawaii lamps common in Polynesian-inspired decorating. It is designed, sculpted, and produced by Franky Edwin of Taboo Relics, and produced in an effort to contribute to Coastal Connections In. for Coastal wildlife preservation in Florida.
The mug features a white, black, and ocean blue glaze. Instead of the starfish depicted on the 1st Edition Swag Lamp mug by Taboo Relics, this version depicts turtles. The mug is a limited edition of 35 and each mug retails for $80. 10% of the sales from these mugs will be going to Coastal Connections, a non-profit organization in Vero Beach, Florida that cleans and protects coastal wildlife habitats.
Taboo Relics creates original Tiki mugs and artwork out of Orlando, Florida. It is the creative brainchild of Franky Edwin. They have released a Hibiscus Purse mug featuring flowers with a bamboo-style handle and also a Piña Cannon mug that combines a traditional cannon with pineapples. The official Taboo Relics Instagram can be viewed here.

This mug, as well as the first version of the Honu Swag Lamp, are the ones I would most love to get ahold of right now. Such beautiful shape and details. And look like they’d fit so comfortably in your hand.
