Pau Meli Tiki Mug Designed By SHAG Now Available In Leopard Print From Max’s South Seas
Max’s South Seas Hideaway recently introduced two new mugs to their online ship, including a new design by renowned artist SHAG. Pau Meli comes in three glazes including Leopard, Avocado/Orange, and the now sold out Rainbow glaze. Also released is a new cocktail mug by Anthony Carpenter named the “Sepik River Drum”.
Pau Meli, by SHAG, is sold in Limited Editions of 200 (Avocado/Orange), 100 (Leopard), and 25 (Rainbow). It is based on a nAndres Bumatay carving located within Max’s South Seas, which was salvaged from a Polynesian-inspired apartment complex named Village Apartments that was ultimately torn down.
SHAG, also known as Josh Agle, is a Southern Californian painter, illustrator and designer. He incorporates his distinctly vivid art style into all of his ceramic Tiki mugs. It is easy to identify his creations because his work is unmistakably “SHAG”.
Max’s South Seas Hideaway is a multi-level urban oasis featuring unique drinking experiences designed to transport patrons to a distant tropical paradise. Next door they also manufacture Tiki mugs by hand.
Mugs are expected to ship in May. Available mugs range in price from $125 to $195. They can be purchased now through the official online store of Max’s South Seas Hideaway.
