It is Day Six of 13 Nights of Tiki Frights, a multi-day online event hosted by The Search for Tiki and sponsored by Scooter! Each night, from October 19 through October 31, we will be giving away a unique cocktail mug to one lucky winter and interviewing a talented artist known for their work within the Tiki community.

There’s been a zombie outbreak, so today’s giveaway is not one, but three, ceramic Tiki mugs sold by Trader Sam’s! We’re giving away the 1st Ed Grog Grotto, 2nd Edition Enchanted Tiki Bar, and 4th Edition Enchanted Tiki Bar Shrunken Zombie Head cocktail mugs. Saturday we will pick three winners- one for each of the three mugs, so that the chances of winning for everyone are greater. Most folks want their business to grow, not shrink… but not Trader Sam. Sam has been navigating the waters of Walt Disney’s famous Jungle Cruise attraction for years and his offer of “two heads for one of yours” still stands. This tiki mug, a depiction of one of Sam’s shrunken heads, is the perfect vessel for one of the cocktail world’s strongest drinks- the Zombie. Originally crafted by Don the Beachcomber, the Zombie’s potency was said to turn patrons into “the walking dead.” For this reason, the Zombie is typically limited to two drinks per person. This iteration of the classic zombie (or “shrunken head”, as the case may be) features a raised eyebrow and stitching over the eyelids and mouth.

The giveaway is open until Saturday, October 24 at 6:00pm PDT/9:00pm EST, when we will announce the winners via Instagram Live. You can enter the giveaway and view giveaway rules by clicking here.

In addition to announcing the winners of the three Shrunken Zombie Head Tiki mugs, we are excited to have Black Lagoon Designs join us on Instagram for a live discussion. Black Lagoon Designs creates handmade ceramic Tiki mugs in Brisbane, Australia. They often do custom one off pieces and are known for their provocative designs inspired by Sailor Jerry tattoos. Their official Instagram can be viewed here.

We hope you will join us October 24 at 6:00pm PDT/9:00pm EST on Instagram.
