This Little Mermaid From Shima Ceramics Is Not The One You Grew Up Watching

The latest cocktail mug from Shima Ceramics asks the question, “Would the little mermaid still have found love if she had lost her looks instead of her voice?” It is partly inspired by P.T. Barnum’s Fiji Mermaid and it may be the perfect addition to your cabinet of ceramic curiosities.

The Little Fiji Mermaid stands just over 10″ tall and it can hold approximately 16 fl. oz. of sea water, although you may prefer to fill it with something stronger. This edition is limited to just 100 mugs and each mug will retail for $195, which includes domestic shipping within the United States. Each mug has been made 100% from start to finish by Shima Ceramics in Port Costa, California.

Mugs go on sale Wednesday, June 1st, at 6:00pm PDT and 9:00pm EDT. They can be purchased through the official website of Shima Ceramics. For more information on upcoming mug releases, subscribe to The Search for Tiki’s digital newsletter.

Pictures don’t do this mug justice. It’s absolutely terrifying and beautiful at the same time. If you haven’t purchased one yet you are missing out!
