After briefly appearing in Walt Disney’s The Haunted Mansion when it opened in 1969, the inspiration for this tiki mug, the Hatbox Ghost, was removed from the attraction suddenly and without notice. Explanations for his abrupt departure are plentiful and remain a mystery, however the Hatbox Ghost has finally returned for your ghoulish enjoyment. Forever immortalized in four different tiki mugs, the Hatbox Ghost hopes to materialize in your home…. that is unless you’d rather join him and the 999 haunts at the Haunted Mansion.

Special Notes: Another version of this mug was released at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto the same year. While this version has a face on its shoulders, the other has a face in its hat box.
