CANCELLED: A Live Interview With Haven Cove Customs

    UPDATE 10/29 at 12:47pm: Unfortunately our interview with Haven Cove Customs has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances surrouding Hurricane Zeta. Haven Cove Custom shared on their Instagram “We are very sorry to announce that we have to cancel our interview tonight with @thesearchfortiki . For those who don’t know Sara and I are stationed in Gulfport MS. Not only our city but our neighborhood was hit hard last night by Hurricane Zeta. Although our house did receive damage we are lucky compared to others, like our neighbors who have trees in their living room. As of right now our neighborhood and community are all helping each other with cleanup, food, gas, etc. We hope you guys can understand, and honestly we know you will because the tiki community is awesome. We will update you guys in the near future but you can still watch @thesearchfortiki other interview tonight! Thank you guys so much!”

    The Search for Tiki is going live on Instagram Thursday with Haven Cove Customs as part of 13 Nights of Tiki Frights, a multi-day online event hosted by The Search for Tiki and sponsored by Scooter. Each night, from October 19 through October 31, we will be interviewing a talented artist known for their work within the Tiki community and giving away a unique cocktail mug to one lucky winter.

    Haven Cove Customs is a company founded by Brad and Sara, a military family, that specializes in small batch ceramic Tiki mugs. They frequently utilize 3D designs to create incredibly detailed ceramic mugs, such as a bust of Davy Jones from the Pirates of the Caribbean series. Their official Instagram can be viewed here.

    Tiki Tum, also known as Paul Briggs, will also be joining us one hour later. He is Co-Director of Raya and the Last Dragon at Disney Animation and a creator of Tiki / Oceania inspired drawings. His Instagram can be seen here.
