Beast of Blood Tiki Mug Visits Hulaween Mai-Kai Drive-In Screening
Fans of Tiki and monsters are in for a treat at the Mai-Kai Restaurant’s 50th Anniversary screening of Beast of Blood. The Mai-Kai has reanimated its parking lot as a drive-in theater with social-distancing in mind. Cars will be spaced out to allow for an enjoyable viewing experience.
The film synopsis is two Americans encounter a mad doctor whose experiments with chlorophyll serum have turned a man into an undying, green-blooded zombie beast. A new chapter in the Blood Island film franchise is currently in development with Drive-In Sanity Films.
As part of the drive-in event, a new ceramic mug is being released. Beast of Blood was designed and sculpted by THOR and produced by TikiBauer Pottery in California. The mug comes in two parts- a disembodied head, which holds approximately 4 fl. oz. and the Beast’s headless body, which holds 8 fl. oz. of cocktail. The two mugs can stack on top of each other to form a single Beast.
The Hulaween event is being sponsored by Appleton Rum, who will be offering a special, signature cocktail. There will also be a costume contest, prizes, and Beast of Blood swizzle sticks. The event starts at 6:30pm and the movie at 8:00pm. Each vehicle costs $30 and tickets are sold in advance.
Which are you looking forward to more- the movie or the mug?
