Combining the Mid Century Modern aesthetic with traditional Tap Cloth, Odd Rodney’s latest cocktail mug is a collector’s treat. The mug was recently teased on Instagram and it has a symmetrical cube shape. A glaze has been chosen, but not shared yet.
Odd Rodney is a sculptor and fabricator who designs and creates ceramic Tiki mugs by hand out of his studio in Tempe, Arizona. He is known for his high quality customizations. You can view one of his original Mid Mod Moai mugs with a white glaze here.
Odd Rodney’s newest mug will debut at Tiki Oasis Arizona at a vendor booth shared with TikiPop. The event is taking place April 22 through April 25 of this year at the Hotel Valley Ho. Other mug vendors making an appearance at the event include Doug Horne, BigToe, TikiRob, TikiPop, Outl1n3 Island, and others.

So far so good! It’s a great idea for a mug. I just hope he chooses a good glaze.
