SHAG’s New Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar Collection For Disneyland Includes Tiki Mug

    The long awaited Disneyland Shopping Event with the artist SHAG was revealed to be a series based on Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar. In addition to a new Tiki mug, the collection includes an art print in numerous sizes, a charm bracelet, a purse, a wallet, and an Aloha shirt.

    The new Tiki mug retails for $39.99 plus tax. It stands approximately 7″ tall and will be a Limited Edition of only 500 mugs. There is a strict limit of one mug per reservation. Since most Trader Sam’s mugs are typically an edition of 2000 mugs or more, we do not anticipate the mug will last long.

    Other items, like SHAG’s billfold wallet ($68) and Aloha shirt ($85) can be purchased two at a time. The edition size for those are theoretically less limited, but they may still sell out. Items in the collection range from $12.99 (a luggage tag) to $19,000 (the original 24″ H x 35½” L painting). The Enchanted Tiki Bar inspired painting pays tribute to at least three icons of the Tiki community including Otto von Stroheim of Tiki Oasis, David Yeh of @enchantedtikibar, and the artist SHAG himself.

    Shag, also known as Josh Agle, is a Southern Californian painter, illustrator and designer. He incorporates his distinctly vivid art style into all of his ceramic Tiki mugs. It is easy to identify his creations because his work is unmistakably “SHAG”.

    East coasters who usually look to Facebook’s online communities for mug pick-ups will likely be out of luck, as people with reservations will be limited to one mug per reservation. However if you live locally and were not able to snag a reservation for the shopping event, left over merchandise is frequently sold in the Downtown Disney District after the event.
