Hidden Harbor, a Tiki bar in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is about to celebrate an important milestone; their fifth anniversary! To celebrate, they are releasing a fifth anniversary edition of their famous “Keeper of the Mug” Tiki mug, also known as the “King Ku”. The mug was designed by widely renowned Tiki artist Crazy Al.

The fifth anniversary edition mug has been in the works since 2018. It required a new wax casting and all new molds. Keeper of the Mug will be limited to 200 mugs in this edition, called “Earth”, which features a wiped-back, yellow ochre-over-brown glaze. Two more editions are planned for later in 2021.

The first 70 mugs in the Earth edition will be released on Saturday, February 6th, to dine-in guests only. They will retail for $175 each and will be limited to one per guest. Remaining mugs will then be available at 12:00pm on Sunday, February 7th, in Hidden Harbor’s retail shop. If any mugs remain after that, the rest will go on sale online Tuesday, February 9th, at 1:00pm EST.

Reservations can be made for this mug’s release (and the fifth anniversary of Hidden Harbor) via Hidden Harbor’s official website.
